Newfoundland Walking Vacation - Gros Morne Walker

The Gros Morne Walker is an all-inclusive walking holiday in one of Canada’s top walking destinations, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Experienced naturalist guides lead you on walks to the base of Gros Morne Mountain, the deep fjords of the Long Range Mountains, coastlines of white sand and volcanic rocks, and the treeless Tableland’s mountain of mantle. Woodland caribou, whales, bald eagles and moose are often seen. Trails are uncrowded, temperatures are ideal for walking, and Newfoundland’s rich island culture of lively music and story telling is yours to enjoy

Day 1: Meet your guide in Deer Lake and drive to Gros Morne National Park for an evening orientation and welcome dinner.

Day 2: Walk to the base of Gros Morne Mountain to see wilderness mountain plateaus, deep canyons and great views of Bonne Bay.

Day 3: Enjoy the Green Gardens coastal hike and explore a volcanic rock shoreline of sea stacks, pebble beaches, and wildflower meadows.

Day 4: Walk along the base of the treeless Tablelands into Winter House Brook Canyon and touch the earth's mantle! This red mountain is home to rare plants, unusual rocks, and stunning vistas.

Day 5: Explore Bonne Bay’s rich marine environment by sea kayak. In the afternoon cruise Western Brook, a massive 16km fjord lake hemmed in by 800m cliffs.

Day 6: The Lookout Trail rewards hikers with the finest panoramic view in Gros Morne National Park and the best chances to see moose in their natural habitat.

Day 7: After breakfast we return you to Deer Lake.
